How it Works
Here’s what you can expect when you work with D2M.
Initial Contact – we can’t do anything until you reach out to us. So if you have an idea or concept you’d like to try and bring to market use the contact form on our website. Tell us who you are and provide as much information as you feel comfortable providing about your idea. Let us know too how you would like to conduct the formal consultation (i.e. Skype, Zoom, face-to-face etc.…). In addition, if you want us to sign an NDA prior to the consultation, no problem. We’ll be happy to do so. Just let us know.
The Consultation – after receiving and reviewing the information you sent us via the contact form one of our Senior Design Engineers will be in touch via your chosen method to conduct a full-on consultation. If there was an NDA to be signed that has already been done. The Engineer will need to know more about the particulars of your idea and so expect them to ask you related questions. The information they’re seeking will be crucial to developing an accurate and dependable project proposal.
You Receive a Quote – if our Senior Design Engineer determines that your idea is worth pursuing, they will use the information gleaned during the consultation to create a comprehensive project proposal complete with projected costs and a development timeline. Any kinks that need to be worked out regarding specifics are worked out now before we proceed to the next step.
Work Commences – once everyone is happy with the project agreement and has signed off on it we convene our development team for an initial briefing. This briefing marks the official beginning of work on bringing your concept to life. From this point on you can expect work to proceed in accordance with the timeline established in the project proposal.

Protection of your IP: Your idea is your greatest asset. We understand that and appreciate the courage it takes to share it with us. You can rest assured every member of our team, as well as third parties such as the trusted Chartered Patent Attorneys we work with, will vigorously protect your IP from Day 1.
Prototyping: Prototyping is an essential step in the product development process. There is simply no substitute for being able to hold and interact with a mockup of your product. Often times a prototype can reveal flaws in a concept that are not readily apparent in sketches and printouts. You can rely on our model builders to create accurate prototypes that will drive the development forward in a useful way.
Manufacturing: Once the kinks have been hammered out in the concepting and prototyping stages it’s time to create detailed specs and take your idea to a trustworthy manufacturer. We handle everything from sourcing materials and (if necessary) parts, to obtaining quotations and providing experience-based guidance on selecting the right manufacturer for your product.
Testing and certification: It’s vital that your product conforms to consumer protection guidelines and regulations in your intended market. To that end, we work closely with reputable testing facilities in order to verify there is nothing about your product that is going to raise red flags with regulators and that it gains whatever certification is necessary to ensure a trouble-free launch.
Launch: After completing all of the above steps your product is ready to face its target audience. You can rest assured knowing we have left no stone unturned in our quest to ensure the best possible version of your concept is what hits the shelves.
