Reviews
Viability – we will explore the competitor landscape, patented material, technical viability and review the commercials to help establish if the project is worth pursuing and what it might cost. We have no interest in trying to string clients along. If we feel the product proposal is not viable for whatever reason we will say so.
Design – if we deem the product viable we launch into the design phase. But we don’t do so alone. We keep our clients in the loop throughout the entire development process. We will explore the design details with you including electronics integration, material selection, detailed ergonomics and product styling. You will know exactly what is going into your product and why.
Prototyping – prototypes help us assess the overall design, ergonomics, colours and durability of a product and to find efficiencies that will enable the project to stay within budget. We will build a series of prototypes progressing the design and testing the core elements of your idea whilst ensuring that the final design is cost-effective for production.
Additional Areas
Design Protection – your idea is everything. We understand and appreciate that. As such protecting your IP is at the forefront of everything we do on your behalf. We will work closely with our Chartered Patent attorneys to ensure that the uniqueness of your idea is protected with patents, registered designs and trademarks. Our years of experience, combined with the fact that we are inventors ourselves means you can rest easy knowing we will not overlook even the smallest detail.
Manufacture – we will create detailed manufacturing specifications, source necessary parts and materials, gain quotations from our partners and support you in the manufacturing of your product. All of our manufacturing partners are thoroughly vetted by our team and have hard-earned reputations for reliability and safeguarding the interests of their customers.
Testing and Certification – different countries have different regulations regarding product safety. Ignoring these differences can cause a product to be prohibited from a given market. To ensure that does not happen with your product we will work with Test Houses to establish country-specific certification and compliance with regulations.
Product on Shelf – the final step in the development process is placing your product in front of consumers. When testing and certification is complete your finished product is ready for launch!

Consultation – one of our senior design engineers will call to discuss your project, your requirements and the value we add. At this point, we are no longer talking in generalities. The Design Engineer will need to discuss specifics in order to be able to develop a comprehensive project plan, estimate costs and establish timelines. So again, if you would feel more comfortable having us sign an NDA please request that prior to the consultation. Once we fully appreciate the details we can provide a detailed project plan.
Get a Quote – based on the project requirements, we share a project proposal with budget and timeline estimates. The quotation will be based on the results of the initial consultation and be comprehensive in scope, detailing all anticipated costs including materials and parts. It is possible that you may want to tweak aspects of the proposal. If that is the case the time to do so is prior to the signing of the final project agreement.
Project Starts – once the project agreement is signed, we brief our team from a range of disciplines to jump-start your project. During the brief the different members of our team tasked with developing your product will be brought up to speed, timelines will be established and they will have a chance to ask questions and provide input. Once the brief is concluded the clock starts ticking on your project.
