Zenscape Backpack

The Zenscape Travel Backpack is a 30 to 50 litre carry-on that expands into a portable hanging wardrobe, designed for travellers who want to pack and unpack less on the move. D2M's role was to finalise the detailed product design specification and source the right manufacturer to bring the product to production.
The Story
Turning a working concept into a product ready for manufacture takes a different kind of work: a specification precise enough for a factory to build from with no ambiguity, and a manufacturing partner capable of meeting that standard. D2M took on both, resolving the technical specification for the Zenscape backpack and sourcing a manufacturer in Vietnam with genuine experience producing high-quality travel gear.
Sustainability was a requirement throughout the process, with the backpack built from recycled polyester sourced from Bluesign-certified suppliers.
The Outcome
The Zenscape Travel Backpack raised over £35,000 from 225 backers through a successful Kickstarter campaign and is now sold in over 20 countries. It was featured at the 2024 Outdoor Expo in Birmingham, drawing further interest and preorders for its next production run.
