The SeeMe Pro 360°
360-degree bike light developed from Kickstarter concept to market-ready design.
The SeeMe Pro 360 is a bike light designed to make cyclists visible from every angle, combining radial LED strips with directional front and rear lights. The brief came from someone who had seen firsthand, through years running a haulage business in London, how often inadequate bike lights put cyclists at risk. D2M developed the product from concept through prototyping, testing and manufacturer sourcing.
The Story
Visibility from any angle was the core requirement, not just from behind. D2M combined radial LED strips with directional front and rear lights to meet that brief, and added integrated HD cameras front and rear so riders could capture footage that also serves as evidence if an incident occurs.
Prototypes were tested across a range of lighting conditions and real-world riding scenarios, from urban commutes to rural rides at dusk, refining reliability for daily use. Feedback from the Kickstarter backer community shaped usability improvements as the design progressed. D2M brought in patent attorney partners early to protect the design, and engaged bike light manufacturers during development to keep the product cost-effective and manufacturable. The finished light runs five modes, two flashing and three constant, with a quick-mount system and USB charging, and was built to meet international bike light regulations.
The Outcome
The SeeMe Pro 360 raised over £30,000 on Kickstarter ahead of its market launch.
Product leads, person's context sits in service of the brief rather than as the opening beat, no dancing around a name because there's no reason to reach for it in the first place.
