Delphi Dog Drying Socks are functional drying socks for dogs, designed to be worn indoors after a walk without restricting movement. The founder came to D2M with a home-sewn prototype and needed a full end-to-end manufacturing solution. D2M managed every stage of the process, from concept development through to production.
The Story
The brief combined comfort, durability and genuine function: the socks needed to dry paws effectively, reduce odour, and hold up to regular washing, while fitting a wide range of dog breeds from medium to giant. Sizing was the central technical challenge, since a single design had to scale cleanly across that range without compromising fit.
D2M developed the initial concept into a manufacturable product and tested multiple prototypes across a range of dogs. Materials were sourced specifically for the brief: a bamboo cotton lining for absorbency and antibacterial properties, paired with a breathable, water-resistant outer layer to contain dirt and moisture. Once the sizing system and materials were resolved, D2M produced a complete manufacturing specification, sourced a production partner and oversaw pre-production, sampling and the first manufacturing run.
The Outcome
Delphi Dog launched direct-to-consumer through its own website in early 2025. The product has since won Best Canine Drying Product 2025 and Rising Stars in Pet Clothing Solutions – Wales at the LuxLife Pet Products & Services Awards.
