Wireless event lighting designed to replicate the output of a traditional bulb.

Core Lighting had been designing and supplying battery-powered LED lighting to venues, hotels and restaurants since 2008. The TablePoint represented a step forward in the range: a product that could function as a genuine like-for-like replacement for a wired bulb, without the constraints of a fixed power source.

D2M researched available technologies before moving into concept development. Designs were refined through CAD and prototyping, with the Mark 1 prototype used to prove the concept before the project moved into full development. The priorities throughout were functionality, cost-effectiveness and a form that would suit the environments the product was designed for.

The lamp attachment mechanism, which allows the TablePoint to fit standard lamp fittings or attach magnetically to steel surfaces, was developed to patent standard. The product range extended to include coloured table lighting and floodlighting, all weather-rated and controllable via Bluetooth or Wireless DMX.

The TablePoint has been adopted across venues throughout Europe, including use at a royal palace. It is now part of Core Lighting's permanent range, available for hire and purchase across the hospitality and events sector.
