About Trevor Baylis Brands
Trevor Baylis Brands was started by in 1993 by Trevor Baylis, the famous inventor of the Clockwork Radio and helped inventors for many years. The original company closed following Trevor’s death in 2018 but the board of directors wanted to ensure that the great work of helping inventors continued. D2M Innovation were approached to carry on the ‘Trevor Baylis Brands’ name.
Who are D2M Innovation?
We are Product Development Consultancy that specialise in Innovative Product Development and help people at every stage from initial idea to manufacturing and distribution. Whilst we don’t have access to the historical TBB project archive, we can receive new enquiries. We work closely with Chartered Attorneys, Marketing and Manufacturing partners to offer advice on the complete journey from idea to market. How to get started developing your new idea
The journey of developing and protecting a new idea can be daunting. However, with our experience and knowledge we can help you to navigate the process and minimise your risks. If you want to learn more before you get started, take a look at our resources section for information about funding, protection, prototyping and more.
Submitting your idea
The best way to begin the process is to submit your idea to our enquiries team so that they can advise you about moving forward. This process includes a Non-Disclosure Agreement so you don’t need to worry about telling us your idea. If you’d rather have the forms emailed to you then fill in our contact form and we will be happy to help.
I want to patent my idea
We are often contacted by entrepreneurs and inventors wanting to patent their idea. While we are not patent attorneys, we do have an excellent network of trusted attorneys who we can point you to for expert advice. There may be simpler and cheaper ways of protecting your idea such as registering the design and of course it’s important to check that no one has had the same idea as you. D2M adds value to the IP process by exploring further innovation and ensuring that the design is suitable for manufacture before it is protected. Our expert team of designers will produce the drawings you need to support your patent or registered design applications once the design is finalised.
