To design a treat dispenser for a client called Tatty Head. The product not only had to be a handy way to carry dog treats, but also to train dogs and act as a recall for dogs that are unresponsive when taken off their leads in public.
The process involved developing two prototypes. The first prototype was a transparent blue test model. This was developed to test for the correct material, shape and overall look of the product. The second prototype included new added features such as a neoprene textile sleeve which connected the container to a belt loop or lead. Next step was to design the packaging and develop the branding for the product. At this stage we also embroidered the logo onto the textile sleeve.
The first batches of the product were sent to Crufts (2019). Since then, these dispensers have been selling in a range of different colours. Tatty Head has also made quite an impact on Instagram.
Tatty Head Twist ‘N’ Treat Dispensers are now available to buy online through their company website or instore at selected stockists. Not only do they sell the treat dispensers, they sell combo boxes which make the perfect gift for any dog owner. For more information, visit their website.
