The Outcome
Snhug Sit® launched successfully in 2025 and quickly gained traction with 17+ verified 4- and 5-star Trustpilot reviews praising its comfort, ease of use, and inclusive design. It has been featured in independent product reviews, received positive PR coverage, and generated demand from both mobility aid users and mainstream consumers. The product’s strong early reception demonstrates the power of combining user insight, inclusive textile product design, and expert development support.
The Story
The founder of Snhug Sit® faced daily challenges staying warm while managing a health condition that required extended periods of sitting. Traditional blankets slipped, bunched, left feet exposed, and posed risks when caught in wheelchair wheels. Recognising a gap in the market, she approached D2M to transform her idea into a functional, inclusive product.
Working closely with our Senior Textile Designer, Hellen Rayner, D2M guided the project from early concept refinement through to production. Multiple prototypes were tested with wheelchair users, mobility scooter users, and those with reduced mobility to ensure comfort, ease of use and wheel-safe design. From sourcing high-quality, washable fabrics to optimising the tapered foot pocket and adjustable zips, every detail was engineered for both practicality and premium feel. The result is the first blanket of its kind — equally suitable for home, work, travel, and outdoor use — that’s already making life warmer and easier for customers across the UK.
